Mikane Shrine
At Mikane Shrine, Kanayamahiko-no-Mikoto, the guardian deity of metals and minerals, is enshrined, and a golden torii gate stands at the entrance. The sacred ginkgo tree in the shrine grounds is said to be a symbol of prosperity, development, and eternal youth and longevity, and is one of the largest trees in the city, over 200 years old.
